I have been working to get #Wayland running on my #Debian system with #Nvidia graphics. It runs and looks good, games seem to be faster on it. However, it has a major flaw - if the screens get turned off or the computer goes to sleep, Wayland fails to resume. I generally have black screens.I have tried things like 'kwin_wayland --replace' and 'systemctl restart display-manager' but they do not succeed. Wayland never recovers until I reboot.Anyone have any clues?

Not quite. Wayland came back from sleep mode but the Nvidia drivers did not. Instead the Nouveau drivers were loaded.

@thrashcardiom If my memory serves me well, and that's a big if, @mjg59 knows a bit about ACPI stuff, which may be relevant.

@zl2tod @thrashcardiom Failure to reinit graphics is usually a graphics driver problem rather than inherent an ACPI driver
