Had this happen to me. Just with pizzas instead of wraps.

I took a Monster from the work fridge, but it had been there untouched for months and it was after a bunch of people quit so I figured the owner wouldn't be returning for it. Nobody ever asked about it.

In the year 2000 I worked for a company that had a food thief. He never brought his own food to work, just stole other peoples lunches. Then one day he stole a sandwich out of the fridge that had been sprinkled with rat poison. He was taken away in an ambulance, cops came and did an investigation (whoever made the sandwich was smart enough to wipe their fingerprints off of the ziplock bag) and the perp was never caught. The guy didn't die, but he quit the job. I'm not condoning it, but if you're a food thief you need to know there are people that will kill you over messing with their food.

A supervisor of mine did this to a co-worker. She kept stealing his food that was labeled as his. She called off the next 3 days. Since he had his name on it, there was nothing hr or management could do.

She'll be able to sue him for obvious food tampering if it's laxatives. Better to use a really hot sauce instead since he can just claim he likes spicy food.

I think that only applies if you directly offer the food to someone. If it's intended for yourself and someone else "helps themselves" to it without asking, there's probably not much that can be done to you legally because there's a degree of culpable deniability.
