Last night, I finished Voltaire’s "Candide". Next up: Liu Cixin’s “The Dark Forest”.

@tek YASSS. I love The Dark Forest, I just restarted Death's End.I will say the first half is a little slow, you may have to hang in there. But it's worth it, in my obviously biased opinion.

@nateb I've read some non-fiction and literary stuff lately. I wanted to take a break with something fun. I loved book 1, and I deliberately have no idea what 2 and 3 are about. I'm going into this a blank slate with no expectations.

@tek I'm in the same boat. I've been reading a lot of nonfiction, most about psychology-related subjects (and some history, I think). I'm ready to dive back into fiction.I def don't want to spoil anything, I'm just giving you a heads up. Cause I remember that was my thought when I first read it: "man, this is really dragging." Then it got to a certain point (which I won't spoil but it's around halfway I think) and suddenly it was like "alright, fuck yeah, this is what I was expecting!"

@nateb It's good and worthy to spend time with the enriching books. It's also important for me to spend time with entertaining reads, lest I get out of the habit of reading altogether.
