Some shots from the Sig Sauer steel shoot this past weekend. Had a great time- *very* impressive facility. I'd advise anyone in the area to make a trip for a shoot sometime.

@PakkonenCT The word "cheap" and that flagship store have never met. Unfortunately, everything in there was upmarked. One could easily blow 1200 without trying.

@PakkonenCT Its usually a design choice- plenty of pieces don't have a dedicated safety. Army probably just wanted them to be sure some private didn't give themselves a new hole when they sat down the wrong way. That said, my Glock and almost all their models don't have safeties. Neither does my Canik Mete SFx Pro or my S&W M&P 5.7, and the latter is my carry gun. I do believe they make the same model 5.7 with a safety, but to be honest I don't want one on my carry when seconds count.

@PakkonenCT Eh, that site wants me to register so they can pound sand. The P320 is one of their most popular models. Searching around I see all kinds of folks trying to push lawsuits- have to wonder if its the law of averages at play, or lawyers smell blood in the water and are trying to pile on. Seeing alot of stories about dropping it and going off or "I just holstered it and it shot me". Accidental discharge via dropping is undesirable, but strikers can and will fire when dropped. @PakkonenCT Simple solution? Don't throw your loaded and hot firearm around like a goddamn moron. Glock has had alot of these claims over the years too, and everyone comes out of the woodwork to get them some sweet jing for doing a stupid. As far as the detective holstering it and it goes off- he's an idiot and the trigger likely snagged. I've seen and even know cops who have some of the worst firearm control I've seen- surpassing complete newbies. For the record: I own no Sig firearms lol

@leyonhjelm @PakkonenCT I suspect that's the vast majority of cases. I know a bunch of folks with 320s that use them for carries and as grab-guns for home defense. No issues.I like to do a check with anything I buy that throws lead before I really use it- clear the firearm, cock it as though I'm dry firing, and drop it a few times. Usually on thin carpet hardwood so I don't destroy the finish like a fuckwit. Never had an issue.I suspect poor maintenance may play a role in these lawsuits.

@sirkniVes I do similar, but also accidentally dropped it 10 feet loaded onto a concrete floor. No problems encountered.@PakkonenCT
