Border security is a federal power, but I do not believe the constitution prohibits states from also engaging in activities that the federal government is supposed to do. For instance, Texas has a state border that overlies the international border. I do not believe that the constitution prevents them from protecting the state border just because it happens to also be an international border.

That is correct. However, as always, if the federal government feels their power and authority is threatened, they use the money supply to threaten the state into submission.

@NearMiss Probably is. As a matter of fact, it is, in a court case all the way to the Supreme Ct. level. The Constitution gives states the right to do what the feds refuse to do.

Finally Texas taking a stand I know it’s a long process but that’s how it usually works. Fuck paying a fine or jail time, I say give them the option to turn around & go back or be killed on site, etc. Do it that way & the foreign bodies still piling up & that should be crystal clear to them to not come here unless they do it legally, PLAIN & SIMPLE.
