       Back in the day... my fiancé at the time wanted me to teach her to play guitar.   For her birthday I bought her a Takamine 12-string guitar and took her to a Chet Atkins concert.  After the concert I took her backstage and I asked Chet if he would commemorate the evening by signing the guitar.   He said he doesn't usually sign guitars but for such a lovely lady he'd make an exception.  To authenticate his autograph, he signed it "Chet.Atkins CGP".  He said CGP stands for Certified Guitar Player.     He also mentioned, "if you keep picking that thing, it's never gonna heal."   He was a gentleman above all else. Him and EVH are trading heavenly licks.
