       @Rhube Yeah, that seems to be the overall trend - seeing it even with the poll results...I've been a bit wary of StartPage since I found they were bought by System1, a marketing company. I use DDG myself but they recently started inserting ads into their results, so their algorithm is also suspect now.I feel like the age of the internet as a useful, trustworthy resource of knowledge may finally be over... :(

       @shrikant I turned to Start Page because DDG elivers the exact same results as Google these days. None of them are perfect, but I need to find things.

       None of the 20 people who responded (thank you all!) voted for 100% confidence.And a staggeringly large number voted for LESS than 50% confidence...Is this 'digital collusion and cartelisation'?
