I think it's useful to know the following very common slang at the time which may influence his aversion to 'cis'.sies, "sis" – expression of disgust, disappointment, annoyance.It was overused... and if it was frequently directed at you (bullies loved it), I can imagine it being a bit of a trigger... the South African accent can really spit it! 😷 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_South_African_slang_words
