       @ArenaCops @oppophonist There are people here…mainly older…who still refer to the Civil War the “War of Northern Aggression”🙄 Not the majority, but we suffer from christofascism, voter apathy in the young and Ignorance. The smartest youth of our state are leaving, and many of those eligible to vote, don’t. It’s getting better tho, as Covid is taking a lot of the Elder and Boomer MAGAts.

       @johnettesnuggs @ArenaCops 2/22.) Unfortunately, this clerical fascism has been spreading again all over the world for two decades. Not only Christian but also Orthodox. The fear of change drives people to take responsibility and go to places of worship. Sooner or later on the street.3.) I consider the interaction of gerrymandering, redmappimg and brain drain to be very dangerous in the medium term. Let's hope that your voting system somehow survives this or is optimized.

       @ArenaCops @johnettesnuggs It seems to me that the state of the electoral system is deteriorating significantly. Things are no better with the independence of the Supreme Court and other courts down to the local level. Why isn't there a majority that does something substantial about it?

       @oppophonist @johnettesnuggs It comes down to the before-mentioned criminal plagues of mass voter suppression, gerrymandering & disenfranchisement on one hand, and aggressive, best-funded lobbyism by certain interest groups subverting the people-friendly/liberal-democratic implementation of the Constitution, & organized public mis- & disinformation by corrupt TV entities like Fox & corporations specialized in waging aggressive mis- & disinformation campaigns on "social" media.
