       @anonymustard Neat. Do you have a planer? I got a Porter Cable small portable planer and what you can do with "a log" in 10 minutes is amazing. It will make a piece of wood as nice as the lumber yard, or anything.

       @commandlinekid no but I really want one how much was it? I bought a cheapo might as well be harbor freight drill press and it sat in a box for a couple years. I thought about making my own chainsaw mill, for now just use my extra table saw the fence is fuct so I just use it to make initial shavings. Obviously limited on diameter there

       @anonymustard I just chopped it out with an ax, using it like a froe (which I don't have but I want to get). Then I put it in the planer. That's it.
