       @lps Thanks! 5h ago I tried to watch this one https://video.blender.org/w/2YhUCCrwDb8W8q9cGDwbBX  ; but had the message "failed video/technical issue" and dark overlay. I went on Youtube after that. I had a quick check: the video is still like that on my side. No problem but I wanted just to report. Good luck to the server to process all these long videos!

       @davidrevoy yes, it's a bit unfortunate, hopefully in the future the instance might be able to use the new features of #peertube which allow off-loading some of the encoding to other machines.I really hope that the #blender community will begin to embrace these alternatives, as we do with #Linux, the #Fediverse for example.  Currently, it is not perfect, but unless we support them, they will never be mature.Come to think of it, Blender is the post child for this mindset:)

       @DBG3D@masto.es @DBG3D@mas.to if you didn't see my earlier post, even if these are not encoded you can watch them directly on the instance.  If you get the "failed to play" overlay, try watching on a mobile device, it seems that it doesn't appear there:)
