Gun nuts get very upset when you mislabel an AR-15 as an assault rifle. So to avoid any controversy, please refer to the weapon using its proper technical classification, which is a mass murder rifle.

@lowqualityfacts It does bug me when people say the AR is for Assault Rifle, but I'm also fine with and encourage the mass-murder rifle branding. It's not particularly special and there are better guns for anything out there, but it does seem to have picked up the "brand" of a mass shooter gun. I wonder how many deaths we could prevent just by banning this specific gun, and I'd be OK with an attempt to find out!

@lowqualityfacts if you ever encounter a gun nut and don't want to talk to them, just refer to the rectangular thing that holds bullets in a mass murder rifle as a "clip". While they angrily explain that it is a "box magazine" and not a "clip" and that "clips" are different things, you can run away and go eat ice cream or something.
