       Once I’m finally over this horrible cold I’ve got probably a week of winter prep work outside, then I can get to actually building the chicken tractor.Mine is going to be for just a few laying hens (2-4). I don’t really have much interest in raising meat birds, but I will use the same concepts for meat bird tractors for my meat rabbit tractor.Rabbits are easier to butcher, easier to breed, cleaner, and less demanding in general.Go great with taters. Boil em, mash em, stick em in a stew.

       @eriner After viewing the other chicken tractors, I think the small inflatable tires like on wheel barrows or hand trucks would move more freely thru the grass. IMO only that's what i'd use so i don't get stuck.

       @DrFell yes. Airless tires are best because it’s one less thing to deal with later, but anything moderately sized is better than tiny hard plastic tires.

       @Kennyben killing rabbits is less involved than chickens. With chickens you need to put them into death funnels and slice the head off, meanwhile they flap and go nuts while they bleed out.Rabbits are way easier and quicker. Rebar over the back of the neck, step on each end then yank up by the feet. Snaps the neck quick and easy, no mess and usually no fuss.
