@kwheaton @ulmfn Although I suspect many evangelicals would grudgingly admit that people claiming to be Christian who aren't patriarchal are still Christians, they're very bad ones, captured by the spirit of the age. But you do bring up a very important point: Is self-identification enough to determine who's a Christian? And if not, who decides? What's the nature of the line and where does it lie? Those aren't easy questions and I don't have answers.

@jmccyoung @ulmfn believing in Christ does not make you a Christian. You missed my point. If I preach one thing and do another my actions speak louder than my words. Women are wising up. I am not interested in seeing how the Handmaids Tale plays out in America.

@jmccyoung @kwheaton @ulmfn A fundamental Protestant tenet is that first and foremost the relationship between God and an individual is personal. Therefore no one should be judging anyone else on their faith (or lack thereof).That ideology developed out of Calvinism and is borderline heretical.

@ulmfn @girlfreddy @jmccyoung I.tend to agree but since evangelicals are taking over our courts, our Congress and telling me how I can live, what I can do with my body, who I can love and what I can read---lt's just say I have had enough of their version of holier than thou. #mikejohnson and his ilk describe themselves as Evangelicals. This is As Biden said, the war for the soul of our nation. As a nearly 70 year old. I have had enough!
