Got an update for LibreTube from F-Droid the other day, so I can finally use it again. One upside of having it not work for a while, is that I gave NewPipe another go. It's improved a lot since the legacy version I used to use on my old Android.Anything to avoid using SpewTube's default apps. Every time I see someone using them, I also see a flood of ads, of biblical proportions.Still hoping for a mass exodus of vloggers to PeerTube...#video #WebVideo #PeerTube #LibreTube #NewPipe #YouTube

@wisemonkey > there is also newpipe x sponsorblock on f droid (unless u meant newpipe in general term)I'm not sure what you mean, but in general, I only install Android apps from F-Droid. Neither of the NewPipe variants I've used show ads.I haven't tried PipePipe yet. It's a shame the PeerTube support in it isn't maintained (at least according to the F-Droid description). That's what I originally installed NewPipe again for, but I haven't figured out how to search PT with it yet.

@strypey yes I meant variants when I said in general. Sponsorblock gets rid of "this video is sponsored by ..." part. And I just tried single search (on instance video.hardlimit) and it returns results but not all the results I was hoping for.
