       So, I got a report on my instance, from another instance, reporting a user from a 3rd instance. 🤔Nothing to do with me.Why am I getting this report, and what am I supposed to do? #Mastodon #Admin #mastoadmin #feditips Also, follow on question, is it possible to interact with instance admins over the reporting system? I would like to just ask them what they are expecting me to do.

       @selzero this is new with v4.2.x, that all instances are notified when a user has something to do with the thread.

       @matrixsasuke i guess so... imagine 10-15 tagged, some idiot writes them something report worthy, now when 5 users reports them, all of the involved instances will get 5 reports... :blobcatfacepalm2:

       @Jain My guess is that this is in case the user in question posts something illegal and every instance it got federated with needs to be notified, but this seems overly nuclear for that.

       @Paradox but then one need to notify every server which has followers on that specific user and not just the server which engaged actively into that conversation... that would even be a bigger mess.
