       @stux we’re not even following the letter. If we were, you’d need to be in a well regulated militia to own a gun. Instead a bunch of “judges” decided everything before the comma doesn’t count.

       @klutzagon It's just super insane from our point of view.. "327 everyday" no matter in what way almost seems a number for a country in war, not a "leading Western" country 😟 If we see headlines with "mass shooting x or y" we assume it's done with guns indeed since it's often the case I guessBut the thing is.. What does need to happen before things change? "Thoughts and prayers" are just bullshit and don't help anyoneIts almost like "fire and forget" and onto the next mass shooting

       @klutzagon A thing in the Netherlands for example is doing the research after something has happened, create rules or any other thing to prevent it happening from next timeWith the most simplest things this applies so we learn from stuff happening but it seems no matter what happens, the US simply doesn't wanna learn and just keeps on goingIt's like yelling against a brick wall

       @stux In Europe, they have long term mental inpatient care. They don't have killers going around with guns. They have the killer that murdred all those people on that island in Norway in a mental facilty for the criminally insane. That is what we need in the USA and do not have. We will never get rid of all the guns. We need more facilities that we closed down decades ago. We also need to stop criminalizing the mentally ill that are NOT EVER going to be dangerous but are not able to cope well.
