@vriska@lizards.live there are too many bad drivers for the test to be a real filter so idunno. drivers ed is pretty ubiquitous in the US high school curriculum. maybe they had shithead parents that pulled them out like mine did.

@freon I just personally think the "you are a bad person if you drive" people are sillypeople in the USA don't have a choice and to be a called a "bad person" because I drive 30 minutes to my cancer doctor rather than spend 4 hours on multiple buses one way (a real scenario I have experienced) is ridiculous. I do not control infrastucture. I do not decide the funding for public works.

@freon do cars suck? yes. does the automotive industry suck? Especially. Does the fact that car companies lobby hard to change USA laws suck? Unimaginably.am I personally a bad person for being able to and choosing to drive? Absolutely not. Might as well blame someone who used a plastic straw once for climate change while ignoring the oil industry.
