       @todayilearned True story- I was operating #POTA from USS North Carolina and made a contact with a station activating USS Kidd.I got to wondering if the two ships ever served together, and they had- in an exercise, I believe in 1944 or 1945 in the Pacific.  Kidd was hit by a star shell fired errantly from North Carolina.  At the time USS Kidd was doing an emergency drill and had dummies in stretchers for the drill.1/2?
