Recruiter was wanting to schedule a prep talk before my second interview. Fuck off I don't need your help learning how to "interview properly". I work in the computer equivalent of a coal mine, I either am gonna know their stack and questions or I don't, I'm definately not going to learn anything from your "prep talk". And if I don't like the way that they are doing something I'll just tell them their product is stupid.I'm not life support for your shitty business.

@splitshockvirus there are two kinds of businesses: small ones, where the owner has his hands in everything, is overworked, and as a result has a short temper; and corporations where HR roasties control the hiring process. Impressions matter in both cases.

@benis They're a third party, and I'm pretty sure they get paid based on the condition I sign a contract with the client. Finder's fee.But yes this feels like some HR roastie type shit. Like her company is more interested in me getting hired than I am.I'd like to switch jobs, but I'm not in a rush, and she's rushing me.

@splitshockvirus yes; however I was meaning to say that you shouldn't refuse interview preparation in principle, but only if you get massive red flags

@benis but only if you get massive red flagsKind of, they contact me more than I'd like. And their advice doesn't help, it's stuff like "you should test the Teams link before you join"I'd rather just get a suit and a haircut, and show up an hour early so I can figure out where I need to be.
