       Rogue is less than 100kb and it has more complexity than most modern CRPGs.It's also harder than hard; I've never beaten it without save scumming. But that's understandable for a game from 1980.

       @noyoushutthefuckupdad i thought rogue was text only. i must be thinking of the other one. whats it called? something weird like spork.also i played a good ascii adventure game called Tales of Middle Earth(TOME) ages ago. unfortunately they had to change a bunch of stuff and remove all the tolkien shit because they were copyright infringing. but it was pretty cool while it lasted and you could play as a lot more races of tolkien creature than you would expect.

       @noyoushutthefuckupdad I was eventually able to beat nethack, but I never beat rogue. Just seemed like it wasn't possible without playing a ton and getting lucky.

       @Rocket yeah, I think I died more to starvation than anything else in that game. unless you get lots of food and some powerful wands to deal with stronger enemies, you will lose.
