       Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) has reportedly dropped out of the running for House Speaker, just hours after being nominated by fellow GOP lawmakers. He becomes the third Republican nominee to step aside in the three weeks since Kevin McCarthy (R-Cal.) was ousted from the position, and the second to drop out before a full vote on the floor of Congress.
