When I get git working... I only use it for a few weeks. Every time I try to set it up, it just seems so annoying/confusing. I can't get this git bare repo to work with codeburg and it's just so damn humbling. git always makes me feel not so smart.

@Wyatt@fosstodon.org Excuse me but what?git initgit add .git commit -m "Initial commit"git remote add origin git@wherever.the.fuckgit push origin masterWhich part is confusing here? It can be annoying having to add your remote to every repository individually, but it makes some level of sense.

@Wyatt@fosstodon.org Making a bare repo is for pushing to, not for actually using as a git repo for your project. If you have another machine that you want to use as a remote, you make that one a bare repository.
