@wjmaggos I think of myself as a writer. I think propaganda would appeal more to base instincts and less toward trying to describe things in autistic nerd detail.On some level of course any opinion is propaganda.In this case, his suggestion is good strategy because there are actually links between those things.

The progressive left has abandoned the working class, this is mostly because they have a different and largely incompatible culture to that of the young college educated professionals who have become the the leftist political cavalry.Publicly walking away from those who they claim to represent obviously requires a bit of mental gymnastics, so what they did was replaced the economically oppressed with black, LGBT, and women.This was particularly convenient for them because they were able to draw poster-boys directly from their own ranks of college educated young professionals. They were also able to cast the real under-class as oppressors because of claimed racism/sexism/homophobia.This has worked quite nicely for them but there are millions of people who no longer have any political voice at all and their quality of life has steadily deteriorated over the past 3 decades.For them, ANY political platform is better than none, and "bold" or "radical" ideas like mass execution of leftists become increasingly attractive.

The ideological are the "good guys", they do things because of what they believe, but their beliefs systems are fickle and can interfere with their capacity to be cunning.The power-mad do things to amass as much power as they possibly can, they see the world as it is and not as they might wish it to be.
