The revamped IRC client now has enough features to be usable, so it's now wired up to the CI pipeline and can be tested on https://irc.vulpes.one/There are still enough features missing, such as the channel list UI. But all of that will be added. The CI build linked is updated continuously.

It requires an IRC connection over WebSocket. It's kind of expected to be soju because then you'll get network management features, but any network will work.

@volpeon aaw, I don't think I can get it to connect to any server, including libera.irc.vulpes.one

@Wander@packmates.org Give wss://testnet.ergo.chat/webirc a shot. :drgn_happy: I updated the default config to use that as default now. I stopped hosting libera.irc.vulpes.one to avoid abuse

@volpeon Thank you! It now connects, but apparently that server doesn't support on the fly creation of channels with /join or the UI + sign you added in the top left. (In case you wanted to make sure that anyone using your client was able to demo this feature with the default server)

@Wander@packmates.org There aren't / commands yet except for /raw, so for joining you'd send /raw join #test. The dialog behind the + sign should work, but for some reason when you submit the form with the enter key it will reload the page, whereas on my local test build it'll work fine. How the heck does that even happen. :woozy_baa: Clicking the OK button will do the trick, though
