       A minute of silence for our big CRT tv here at home that seems to have just died :ponepensive: It was my main entertainment when i was small, we've had it for ever since i could remember, thanks for everything inanimate palI get really easily attached to stuff :twilightsheepish:

       @Quilly What's wrong with it?  CRT TV's are usually easy to fix.  The older, the easier.

       oh it come back! it's pretty clear it may be coming close to the end of its lifetime tho, the passing of time is a sad thing...

       @Quilly Sounds like the circuits or electronics controlling the magnets are going bad.  My first haunch is that the capacitors are probably starting to leak/fail and need replacing (could be something else.. but it sounds like it if it sometimes come back working sometimes).  It CAN be fixed pretty easily but should be done by a TV repair person because it can be REALLY dangerous with the power flowing through it.  Don't trash it, though.  Sell or give it away as broken before you do.
