Since we're going to be bombarded by posts promoting not jerking off in several days, here are your reminders:- There are no health benefits to deliberately abstaining from masturbation.- There is no scientific foundation under the concept of "porn addiction", and self-described porn addicts do not engage with porn any more than the average person - they just feel guiltier about it.- All conversations about the modern society being "corrupted" by porn loop back to conservatism. Porn existed always. The internet just made it more visible and available.- If you genuinely have problems with your sexual behavior and porn usage, it won't be fixed by trying not to jerk off, you need to add more positive stimuli to your life instead of subtracting.- If you're a cis man, especially a young neurodivergent man, and people keep telling you that you are at risk of being forcefully emasculated and that you need to boost your testosterone and seek traditional lifestyle, these people are preying on you.

@comrade_lecter I do agree that quiting porn has to be done in conjunction with adding a positive activity to your life. But that goes for any addictive behavior.

@teal I know you're probably joking, but I'll still answer seriously. My political views are a result of my observation of sides and groups in discourse, not of fitting in with any particular one. Meanwhile most people you see around here are receiving their beliefs in sets when they decide to affiliate with someone.

@teal you've never seen a person drastically change the way they talk and what they talk about when they break up with one friend collective and join another one? Or someone complain about how they could not express certain ideas because they were afraid of judgement, or the opposite, how they were saying things out of people-pleasing? I think you may be underestimating how much the environment influences someone.

@teal I'm open as a map to my relatives, my partners, and the only person I consider an irl good friend (all my other friends are met through the online map community). I don't talk about any views or beliefs to service workers while they're on duty, and I don't know anyone else who does - that's just disrupting their work.

For many people, myself included, a doll isn't the second best thing after a human, but someone who can be just as beautiful and fulfilling. Same for less humanoid objects I'm attracted to.Real sex is what is perceived as real sex by those who engage in the act. That's the only definition. Because everything else is enforcing some kind of a tier list that will not reflect needs and preferences of many.

You are also mistaken in assuming that contact discourse makes a difference here. You could put something more general, like "people", instead of "minors" there, and it would have been just as rude. To say nothing of the fact that this person is 16, and I got excommunicated from the wider anti c community for dating and expressing the intention to continue dating 16 year olds.

@paris @pinkbow there's no such thing as "looking like a minor", because "minor" is an artificial legal category that includes babies, older children, adolescents, and young adults. There's a huge difference between a 3 year old and a 10 year old, and by the time someone hits 14-15, they look approximately the same they'll look at 18-20, or in early 20s. A doll that represents a 7 year old child is not modeled after you and has little similarity with you.

If anyone has had a porn usage problem (I did, severely, between 9-14 mostly), I 100% want to offer hope and support (straight up, like, message me) that you don't have to abstain or be image celibate or something lol.
