       @PNS I would expect a small business owner to have the "agency" to price things transparently and to pay her employees for their labor. I tip well, bc it is common practice and the employees are often mistreated by fat and belligerent customers, but to be lectured about tipping, as if it is some noble tradition and not subsidizing some low-IQ restaurateur's "dream" (of contributing nothing to the community) is unacceptable.

       And probably healthier for it too.The food and service usually sucks at most places nowadays too.There are maybe ten different restaurants I'll pay to eat at in a fairly large city with a population of 100,000 which says a lot about the state of things these days.

       I tip if the service is halfway decent and they are in a happy mood or at least not sad looking and complain about stuff and I tip 15% minimum when I tip, often more.But I'll be damned if someone is going to demand I tip 20% minimum no matter what. That tells me at least two things about them, one, they're arrogant and entitled, two, they're too damn stupid to just figure it into the prices without telling everyone this shit and pissing them off.
