       The last month or so has been rough on my desire to remain part of the Fediverse. I've seen so much collective punishment meted out due to poor moderation decisions, mostly boiling down to small misunderstandings that have lead to "You are not moderating your server the exact same way that I would moderate your server, therefore I am going to suspend you and sever the social graph". It's a bad look, and it has left an awful taste in my mouth.

       I will never go back to centralized social media, but at least it didn't have petty squabbles between moderators leading to losing access to a bunch of your friends.

       @twylo i've been laying low and watching the HOA drama from the sidelines; i'm not hurt by it, but i'm disappointed. the only benefit is it's showing people's true colours

       I should be very clear, it has nothing to do with the SDF server I'm on right here, I haven't had a single issue here. I do have another account, and that one was swept up in some problems that I had nothing to do with, didn't even know about until after the fact, but led to my social circles being torn out from under me.
