       This is a hard time for Jews like me. Seeing so many progressive and even left-of-progressive people I respect getting on board with colonialist genocide is really heartbreaking.I believe borders should be a shameful relic of the past and in an ideal world Jews and Palestinians would live together in peace. But we don't live in that world, and colonialist violence is unacceptable-- even when my own people are committing it.#FromTheRiverToTheSea

       @ieatkillerbees Ideal worlds are fantasies.As you say, time to deal with reality.Ending diversity would go a long way toward ending the violence.

       I want to clarify that this is violence by the Israeli state against the Palestinian people. While many Jews support this war, and some even support outright genocide, many Jews stand against it. Our people belong in the land of our ancestors, but not like this.We have survived thousands of years of exile, brutal hatred of violence, and the most inhumane and systematic attempt at genocide in human history—every holiday we wish to celebrate next year in Jerusalem. But not like this.

       This has never been and never will be a struggle between Jews and Palestinians. Casting it in that light is unequivocally anti-semitic. Our people are siblings-- long-enduring nations born in the same fertile valleys of the Levant. You can hear it in our languages, see it in our faces and our foods. No Palestinian is my enemy and that doesn't diminish my Jewishness or make me an enemy of my own people.
