@goleztrol Is this that "Aviodrome or AI" game I've heared so much about? Because I sure have my doubts about that multiplane! 😁

@pauljanYeah, I was surprised as well, but 15 is only the beginning. Horatio F. Phillips took it a couple of levels further. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiplane_(aeronautics)

@goleztrol Wow! Wouldn't it be amazing if we somehow figured out that with a *little* modification these actually would have better flight properties than modern boring single plane airplanes.

@pauljan @goleztrol I’m not sure at all, the first row of wings, will create turbulences that will make the other rows useless ^^ (beside the bigger weight of the structure).

@popolon @goleztrol yes according to Wikipedia these sometimes had great uplift but were generally impossible to control 😁Now all we need to do is fix that, and voila, rich and famous.

@pauljan @goleztrol The tendence those days is instead to have lighter wings, and grow the flat part at the bottom of the fuselage, to rise lift force. At the same time, lift force is needed to make planes fly, but add more friction.A330neo (last large long distan…

@popolon @pauljanThe ones with two (or three) wings are not very fast, but can make tight turns and steep climbs. A 50 wing plane with computer controlled corrections on each of them could make an interesting stunt plane (and looking like that, it doesn't even have to achieve much to be an attraction) 😀But it's probably not very useful for trans Atlantic passenger flights 😅

@goleztrol @pauljan What I seen is the best maneuvers is done on planes with front very mobile duck wings (like Saab Viggen, or later Chengdu J-20 or Rafale), or with very good trained people (like Viktor Pugatchev’s Cobra on Sukhoi 27 or later, that have a queue, duck like wings)
