       So the Teenage Engineering OP-1 is really cool and all, but being a hacker type, I wanted to see if I could build an open source one. Not the first to have the idea, but it’s a new project for me.I used a keyboard layout designer to do the button layout and added in the cuts for the display & knobs using LibreCAD and got it cut into 3/16 acrylic. Since it was so thick, I had to superglue the switches in place to keep them in place rather than just popping them in.Next steps are to mount the knobs and wire up the keyboard matrix, all to an older #teensy I have kicking around to make the front panel a USB controller.#workinprogress #wip #synth
