@mjg59 Just wait till you get on a project with an Asian client and coworkers on east and west coast US.Somebody is getting up at an ungodly hour no matter how you slice it.

@mjg59 Dealing with chirpy early morning Americans just when youโre ready to wrap up your day isnโt the best thing in the world either. Still, wouldnโt trade places. ๐

@mjg59 One of my favorite parts of moving to the US Central time zone is that my meetings with Europe now start at 9:00 AM instead of 7. ๐

@mjg59 where are you? As a European, no timezone is as bad as US West Coast for collaboration.

@mjg59 Your 8 AM is most likely their 6-8 PM (depending on your time zone...and theirs) :D. By EoD my brain is fried. Having to make sense in a call with the US means 3 espressos, convincing the little one that I need 15 minutes of silence (never happens) and everything written down. I'd swap places in a heartbeat. At 8 AM kindergarten makes meetings possible :D.

@mjg59 makes sense. I usually try to avoid synchronous communication with people on the US west coast if at all possible.

@mjg59 Most amusing was when I was doing consulting work in Hong Kong for the London office of a San Francisco-based company. HK is 8 hours from each of them, so both had to take the hit for my noon team calls...
