       Anytime a company is sold for no reason other than profit and then tanks under its new ownership, no one who approved that sale should ever again be trusted with anything and should also be excoriated in public forever.And yes, I'm really really pissed about the bandcamp layoffs.

       @WolvenThis betrays a fundamental misunderstanding of the purpose of public companies.Public companies have one and only one purpose: to generate profit for shareholders.If this displeases you, then the only solution I know of is to do away with the concept of non-contributing shareholders, so that only those with a personal, not merely financial, stake in the company may guide its actions.We have a name for that.
