@cjd They ban demonstrations that are very likely to facilitate hateful incitement against religious and ethnic groups or are organized by people who held demonstrations where that happened a lot. The relevant law is called "Volksverhetzung" (Incitement against a people).There are numerous demonstrations in favour of Palestine and the Gaza population in Germany rn, the bans target a minority of the pro-palestine demonstrations.It is still problematic in the sense that the state and police have the power of definition here, on the other hand there were numerous demonstrations under the impression of prior conflicts of the region where hundreds of men would shout "Gas the Jews" in german cities and violently attack anyone wearing a kippah or other jewish (not even Zionist) symbols

I gather you mean the AfD but are they actually promoting antisemitism?It was my understanding that the real problem was the German Left introduced a lot of migrants from the middle east who are in fact violently antisemitic and pro-holocaust.

Again I'm not familiar with the AfD per se, but I am familiar with the concept of "Nazi encoded speak" or "secretly racist" and for me it's a cheap and unethical argument with all the characteristics of Blood Libel or 16th century witch trials.The accused has no possibility to ever defend themselves, every alibi is further proof of guilt because "look how well they covered it up!". In short, it's lynch-mobbing and if there's one thing you might be ashamed of as a German, it should be continuation of that tradition.

@cjd It's unfathomable to me, too. It became noticeable to me when Agenda 21 was signed. I started searching Nazism in the U.S. & GHWB. I found basically nothing, except on conspiracy sites, but noticed it with my eyes and ears and instict. I give shit back to people I talked to about it now. I did find a very long, interesting report, by a private investigator, on him about the Kennedy assassination. GHWB lied about being in Dallas and meeting nefarious people in 1963. I wish I'd saved it.

@cjd One more thing. I can't remember if the gov't blamed Kennedy's assassination on the Cuban Missile Crisis, but it lends itself to the belief of never missing an opportunity when it presents itself.

@cjd It's not "secretly racist" or "hidden Nazi". It's public. AfD members were sentenced by court because of trivialisation of the Holocaust or other things you will condemned for in Germany. One court ruled that one of the AfD leaders can be safely called "Faschist". Again, there is no problem with leftist. It's the rising fascism.

Ok so if they're actually saying things which contextualize the Holocaust, that's a very different story and I would well concur with you on the topic.I personally don't see Holocaust deniers so much as dangerous, but more as socially awkward political losers. That said, political losers are still fairly dangerous if they come to power.As a word of disclaimer, I'm an ethnically Irish American citizen with French residency and so I am not able to speak intelligently about the politics of Germany per se, only to comment on universal principles.
