The word is not the problem, but the intention behind the person using it in a negative way, in a certain tone. Going after the word is more like forbidding a symptom than addressing the root intention behind it.

@Moon slur discourse is stupid, so is like 99% of internet discourse. honestly as long as the ppl are fine with it being said dw about it, and just dont talk much to the people who do have a problem with it. theyll probably find a reason to block you anyways. personally i dont have much trauma to any given word but to me wouldnt it be the bigger power move to appropriate said vocabulary so it can no longer hurt you by literally twisting their insults. idk. i dont really vibe with like that type of person because you can call them whatever tf you want they are in like every community, theres always one. and they are just insufferable thin-skinned crybullys who just wanna harm ppl but pretend to be the victim

@Arcana @Moon this also tbh. an argument on the internet is the biggest waste of time becuase more often than not they wont change your mind. to me getting mad over something online actually makes me more mad at myself like "why did i just waste my time getting angry over someone ill never meet irl" type shit. its like you know in the back of your mind you can log off, but subconsciously you seem to always ignore that in the heat of the moment, atleast in my case

@Moon @Arcana just word of advice, not everyone does it for free anymore, a lot of mods are paid to mod in some cases, idk which is more pathetic tbqh. ive been wanting to make my own space for ages but like i have trouble getting it off the ground because i always run into the same problem: why would my friends go to this server instead of just all the random disconnected servers that already exist which also fills their niches. most of my irl friends have an IRL discord, and all my online friendgroups have their own discords. there is more or less no reason for them to go to mine since i dont offer much new to the table
