It takes less time to explain a concept to a single child, or maybe 2 or 3, than it does to 15-30 kids. Then there are the States that require a specified number of hours per day and days per year. 🙄In addition to this, getting them to practice is a bit harder, depending upon the child. A page of math problems becomes something that takes them away from what they'd rather be doing, instead of being something that they're doing alongside other kids. My two didn't get the practice they needed, one fought me, fought public school, fought everybody. The other one enjoyed her own pace and got things done being left to herself.I wish I knew then what I know now. 🙃

I don’t have kids but I was a kid, briefly homeschooled. Definitely didn’t spend 8 hrs and definitely wasn’t directly…didacted to the whole time. It doesn’t take that much time to teach a kid most things, especially if they can read the lesson themselves. A lot of public school class is the teacher basically reading the book to the class.

i taught my kid English while showing him how to use computers, he's 10. In school they're still grinding it in that kids need to do math in their heads, I swear it's been the same math problems for two years.

While I agree, I believe the reason why education standards are so poor is because of the teacher's unions, and the fact that schools are funded by government. The unions don't care about the kids, meaning the teachers that are part of those unions don't care about the kids. The unions care about the workers. And making sure the workers can continue 'having' their jobs. It's why they cover up sexual and physical abuse, and why they defend bad teachers and help them to advance.The government doesn't care about the kids (children don't vote) except as a tax resource. They need your kids in their school to justify stealing more money from you. It's the same reason they want more illegal invaders. Then they push making the children stupid by not teaching them important things like hard work and civics. Instead they're being deliberately confused and atomized so that they no longer feel like they belong to a culture or a society.

Indoctrination is what they waste a child's time with. Remember Rockefeller only wanted people smart enough to do the job but never reaching the real capacity our Creator desired. Can't be controlled then.

As one that has experienced public schooling and home schooling, i can tell you that home schooling is far more efficient. Now i had one that was very effective as my mother so that may have had a major part of how much better homeschooling is/was. Homeschooling was also far more interesting to me and less distracting irritating kids, but then again i have a more focused mind than most i have encountered or seen evidence of and i am pretty sure that is a major factor as well.
