I have a genuine question for any artist who sees this... How do y'all stop y'all's drawings from leaning to the left?? I have this problem all the time but I always forget I do... flipping the canvas shows this but it doesn't seem to help me fix it. What do y'all do to fix this?

@rodscorpion Personally I've never had that problem. It might just be that our brains are different, but very early on I would often try to challenge myself with dynamic poses. I usually try to visualize the scene in 3 dimensions, thinking of how it would look from different angles to make sure it makes sense. So the scene to me is in real space rather than a 2d canvas. Sketches, taking a step back and looking at everything as a whole, and edit tools can help prevent or correct things too. idk

@rodscorpion while not a fix, i get around it by flipping my sketch, fix with the skew tool, then use the sketch as a 'correct' guideline for lining.

@rodscorpion For me it helps to keep the screen/drawing surface itself as parallel to my eyes as I can rather than drawing at an angle. That helps prevent skewing at least. I also sometimes draw a line from the head down and see if the body logically follows it. Other than that I just make corrections while it's mirrored and go back and forth until it seems right enough. I tried Asking Chat GPT and got: "Try limiting social media usage and expand your influences to other communities"
