Make sure to do a zipper stitch around the top that seems to open on one side.Then, around the drawn opening of the stitches, cut an impression through the orange skin and fill it with peanut butter.Then let the squirrels to the rest.....Bonus Points if you make a second one for the other side of your porch with the face of Robert F Kennedy Jr

Only thing I could come up with is to try to make their tales into hair if you can find a tallish pumpkin and make a narrowish cut into the top. Maybe make an 'arm' out of sticks, holding a comb? I don't know how difficult these things are and how much time you want to put into it!

Left them in the sun to dry off before bringing in.In space of 1 hour, three had experienced a 'squirrel downgrade' to category C.Chopped up the C' and dried them. Grandchildren like them.

@IdahoLark I find it adorable but you may not. An idea that might be a win is to;1. Put them in a see through crate that is closed 2. Carve them as squirrel houses or funny things. The squirrel back end out of the mouth is sort of funny. 3. Use fake pumpkins outside and real ones inside until they are no longer needed. 4. Have a contest to see which pumpkins the squirrels eat first. 5. Fill them with nuts.6. Make funny pumpkins that will enhance the squirrel nature such as a bear eating the squirrel or a squirrel driving a car and resign yourself to pictures that get hung.

@mburr Not a problem! We really don’t like squirrels but we cut them some slack this time of year. After Halloween they get to eat the pumpkins.

@IdahoLark@syringa.social these are great. You could do a vomiting one, you could do a hole in a stretched nostril so it goes up their nose, you could design it like a little house, you could make it a UFO, you could put the hole at the top and draw a little body under it so when they poke their little head out they will look like they're wearing a silly outfit or like a mech suit or something.

@Fhithich We toss what's left of our pumpkins or give them to the neighbor's pigs within a few days of Halloween. Except in Alaska, where they froze on Halloween night and later a moose would come by to eat them.
