@grammargirl I deleted my post because I misunderstood the concept. I wear headphones with the noise canceling on but nothing actually playing sometimes to help block out noise pollution.

@grammargirl I'd ditch the headphones in the countryside where the whole point is to savour the walk and listen to the birds. But if I'm in town, walking amid crowds and traffic, I'd much rather listen to your podcast.

@grammargirl I used to listen to podcasts when I walked. Then I stopped because I realized it was part of my compulsion to be productive all the time. Now, when I walk, I really make an effort to focus on my surroundings and enjoy being there in the moment. Just saying. 😃

@grammargirlI saw mention of this a few weeks ago and it's been entertaining me since.In my day there were areas with *no* signal at all. We called 'em "dead zones" but tell the truth, they's where folk could breathe a long-lost breath.
