@darulharb Just accidentally bought Wagyu New York strip today so hopefully that qualifies as "well marbled prime cut", not that I'd know as a steak cro-magnon ๐

@PathIntegral Wagyu (Iโve read) you definitely want to cook more to the rare side, and I donโt think it needs a marinade.

@darulharb You are not an absent minded millennial in his early thirties, I walked up to the butcher at a local grocer, gestured at something that said "New York Strip" in big letters, not noticing the much smaller print above which said "Wagyu", and also not noticing the perfectly obvious and more than double price tag.

@darulharb I forgot to be Mise en place too, but it turns out basting in butter, Old Bay (TM), and garlic powder isn't half bad for Wagyu.
