@Cheisinlb @PG_Kelly A lot of radios are a step up from baofeng. (e.g. Kenwood, Yaesu, Icom, Motorola) Spend more money on antenna before you spend more on radio.Having said that, Baofeng (UV-5R) are good enough.

@Cheisinlb I only see on Prime Deal Day on a two pack of the UV-k% radios. You really want the UV-k5(8) aka UV-K6 radio.

@Wy7usa I'm not disappointed with the Radioddity Baofeng GT-5R I purchase. Yes, there are much better radios out there. I remember when I wass working with local PDs back in the day. Their radios were crap too. Disappointing considering they were $2,500+ @Cheisinlb

@PG_Kelly @Cheisinlb I own a number of them. They work well and I am not too unhappy if I lose one, drop one, break one etc, because they practically cost nothing.
