@obihahn Same thing happened to me. Explained the concept of LatinX to a group of South Americans and Puerto Ricans. They had no idea that their culture was being highjacked in a gender neutral way.

@amerika @obihahn Who's from Mongolia? Whites or Mexicans? Because Mexicans are a mixture of Spanish and the natives of that land. That's why there's so much variation of "Mexican" depending on which you're made more up of. Unless you're saying the native tribes stem from Mongolia.

@jazzilla @obihahn This makes it convenient not just for liberal marketing, but commercial marketing, and also for individuals to feel that they understand people by their group.That is mentally easier than accepting cultural differences make diversity impossible and that assimilation is a fiction.
