       i need fediverse lore but i don't know if anyone else knows it. i don't know the interpersonal relationships between the instances bc i see like 5 people a day badmouth some instance and i don't know if it's just them or if there's instance on instance beef i should know about

       @rm Yeah I've seen some of that too, I had poast and there was a thread I was tagged in, and several replies were just straight up disappeared, and I realized it was because the admins of poast had blocked individual people on other instances just because they didn't like them, so I couldn't see replies to myself, so I dumped that site like a sack of moldy old tangerines.

       @rm The fediverse lore is lost to threads covered in missing post, arguments won and lost are all gone with time. Historians will work to recover the lost texts of the rich history but all we will know for sure is the present.When I found the fediverse I didnt even know what it was or how it worked, but it didnt really matter, I still did ok
