@jack Awesome chat guys. Been damn curious and exited about this for a while. Elon gatekeeping his valuable users is probably the main reason he doesn't want to go in this direction BUT don't forget he is trying to make X the 'Everything App'. If he succeeds then X will look a lot different and have specialized functionality(to do all the Everything's) compared to minds and other instances in the fediverse. So now a question: I've heard it mentioned before that minds users can't watch videos from others in the fediverse and vice versa. Are gifs viewable? And what you were saying Jack about a filter to see federated only people would TURBO BOOST minds ability to integrate with the fediverse. I have yet to come across anyone organically here , but if you had a filter so i could see them, then I would be intentionally checking them out and setting roots in the ActivityPub.
