       Hey academic people. I am looking for collaborators for a project about governance on Wikipedia. Basically the project will involve examining the talk pages, administrator actions, arbitration committee decisions, and Wikipedia policies to see how well the policies are adhered to and how this is affecting editor retention and article accuracy on Wikipedia.        @bohemianchic Well, I reckon we are going to need all or some of; a data scientist,  a software person, an ethics person, a person to run the wiki for it,  a social sciences person,  a linguist, a governance person,  a Wikipedia person. Someone who loves strangers arguing on the internet. I can fill some of these roles.

       Oi @Oozenet, I’m interested but not sure I have the time (on my master’s thesis rn) or expertise (mostly a software and drama lover) for it.  Anyhow, I wonder what you meant by to run the wiki for it?  Would love to see the results though.

       @cnx I propose we communicate for the project via a wiki, which wiki can be made public at some appropriate time. You don't have to commit to any amount of anything. If you like I can put you on the interested persons list, which means you will hear about things as they happen.

       I propose we communicate for the project via a wikiIt seems I can be the run-a-wiki person.  I operate a NixOS server where most imaginable service can be spawn up via a few lines of config and keep running with minimal effort.If you like I can put you on the interested persons list, which means you will hear about things as they happen.Thanks, @Oozenet, that’d be really nice!

       Not thoroughly, @Oozenet, I’ve only made edits on Wikipedia.  I’ve never hosted it though it looks like it falls on the simple side.
