@foone everyone who has at least 2 neurons.Software patents should not have been legal in the first place (and aren't in the EU), but then they should just be void if you don't put the source code, because it's the only for "people of the art" to reproduce the invention, which is one of the conditions for actually applying for a patent…But everyone forgets that.

@foone It _theory_ at least, patents were supposed to create innovation by locking down an invention for a period of time, but making the plans publicly accessible so they can form the basis of new knowledge and inventions. I think whacking source code makes sense? Even if it doesn't happen super regularly
