@muznyo I forget exactly how it works, I think it's variable but averages around 8%. Not great, but it is what it is. I've looked into Liberapay, it's something I want to consider for the future, but just don't have time to set things up at the moment.

@lonseidman To be honest, I don't really know. We've had very few complaints about streaming not working. We used to get complaints from the US users because the site is hosted in Germany, but that was more of a latency issue (videos took about 10-15 seconds to start playing). We've since added a mirror server in the US that has solved that for the most part. For any videos that get popular, between the mirror and peering...like I said, I rarely hear about any streaming issues, fortunately.

@lonseidman It's hard to calculate exactly what that cost is (not every cost is monthly). I'd say probably about $100 is pretty close, but I'm doing a lot of things to run it in a way that's more "professional" (cloud server with 1TB of storage, additional mirror server, cloud backup server for main content, domain, etc).
