When the discussion about #Flatpak, #Snap and native packages on #Linux, my first intuition is to ask "who do I trust to distribute software to my computer". And in that question, the "Who" part for me means the organization and the rules by which that organization works, transparency, etc.Based on discussions here, others have widely differing attitudes towards trust in software distribution.I'm curious about yours!#FreeSoftware #OpenSource #Discussion

@nicemicro I do prefer software/packages from the official repos. It is a lot of work to package applications.... so I deeply value that.I trust my distribution - which is #Arch or #Debian (And of course #FreeBSD and #OpenBSD )Not bashing flatpak or snaps... but for me it is repo local stuff over everything external.(Again: No hate here)

@jhx OpenBSD will forever be my first choice. Now that the full KDE Plasma will be in 7.4 release, it makes it a lot more usable as a home desktop and laptop system, except on expensive gaming systems.I am only interested in Artix and Devuan, I won't use the other ones.

@uma #OpenBSD is amazing - always has been!It sure works great as a desktop 😎 Remember running 4.5 on a #ThinkPad R500 back in the days... memories 🙂 #Artix and #Devuan are both great - used both before
