Recently @shawnp0wers reminded me of the Raspberry Pi I colocated in Austria (and wrote about here: https://www.linuxjournal.com/content/raspberry-strudel-my-raspberry-pi-austria). Well I looked up the hostname and tried to login and it's still up (with 1443 days of uptime)!Way to go little server! Of course the downside is that without remote management, and with hardware that old, I'm too scared to attempt any sort of upgrade/patching.#RaspberryPi #sysadmin #uptime

@kyle They added remote power on/off -- you just log into the system and you have the option. :)

@kyle No remote console does make it scary though. :)

@kyle I remember you talking about your server here years ago. Glad to see it's still going! Any evidence of tampering by 31337 h4x0rz with that 'seasoned' software? What were/are you running on it?

@lns No evidence, however I haven't really been poking around. This system is standalone and doesn't have access to anything else--I only use it when I need to view the Internet from a different part of the world for troubleshooting. It's running some super old Raspbian, likely whatever was "new" at the time it was shipped, plus a couple upgrades here and there.
